In this Group-A match, India easily defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by restricting them to just 57 runs. With this victory, India earned their first points on the leaderboard.

UAE won the toss and decided to bat. Initially, Mohammad Wasim and Sharafu played some good shots, but Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Sharafu to give India their first success.
