Vaibhav Suryawanshi became the first batsman to hit the most sixes in this tournament. After the match started, opener Aaron George was dismissed for 9 runs. Then Vaibhav Suryawanshi and captain Ayush Mhatre built a brilliant partnership of 142 runs. Mhatre scored 53 runs with 7 fours and 2 sixes in 51 balls, but Alex Green dismissed him.
However, Vaibhav completed his century in 55 balls, thrashing the England bowlers. After the century, he became more aggressive and was moving towards a double century when Manny Lumsden dismissed him for 175. This innings has given India a strong foundation.
