Team India has announced the squad for the first ODI series of 2026 against New Zealand. The BCCI selection committee announced this 15-player squad eight days before the series. Three matches will be played between the two teams, starting from January 11. Cricket fans have been eagerly waiting for this squad for many days, and now the BCCI has ended this anticipation. Notably, the captain has been changed for this series.

Shubman Gill has returned as captain in the One Day team, while Shreyas Iyer has made a comeback as vice-captain. Shubman, who was injured in the series against South Africa, has now been given the responsibility of leadership. Shreyas Iyer was injured during the Australia tour, and now he has made a comeback. However, whether Shreyas will play depends on his fitness, as mentioned in the BCCI press release.
