India-Pakistan War IPL 2025: BCCI to announce new schedule of IPL 2025

IPL 2025: IPL resumes after India-Pakistan tensions, BCCI to announce new schedule.

In light of the heightened military tensions between India and Pakistan, the remaining matches of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) have been indefinitely postponed. However, with the situation now stabilizing, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is preparing to announce a revised schedule for the tournament.

A total of 57 matches had been completed by the time the 58th match, which was set to take place on May 8 in Dharamsala between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, was halted midway due to escalating India-Pakistan tensions. The match was ultimately canceled, and the remaining games were put on hold.

With 12 matches left in the league stage, followed by 4 playoff rounds, the BCCI is set to make an official decision on the IPL’s resumption. The new schedule will take into account the evolving geopolitical situation. Should the tournament resume, it is expected to be held across four major cities—Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
