Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and newly elected Member of Parliament Priya Saroj celebrated their engagement today in a grand ceremony at Hotel The Centrum in Lucknow. The event, attended by political and cricketing dignitaries, has quickly become a viral sensation on social media, especially the couple’s entry video and photoshoot moments.

Priya Saroj, 26, recently made headlines by winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Machhlishahr constituency on a Samajwadi Party ticket. A lawyer by profession, she is the daughter of veteran politician Toofan Saroj, the current MLA from Kerakat. Rinku Singh, known for his explosive style of batting, has represented India in 2 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 33 T20 Internationals.

He is also a key player for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where his consistent performances have made him a fan favorite. The engagement ceremony was attended by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, along with 25 MPs from the party and over 300 invited guests.
