Losing the toss, the Indian team batted first and, thanks to Vihan Malhotra's unbeaten century, built a formidable score of 352 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Zimbabwe will need to chase 353 runs for victory. From Zimbabwe, Tatenda Chimugoro took 3 wickets, delivering the best performance of the match.

Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bowl first, inviting India to bat. India started well, with Aaron George and Vaibhav Suryavanshi giving a 44-run opening in 4.1 overs. George was dismissed for 23 runs, but Suryavanshi built a 66-run partnership with captain Ayush Mhatre. Mhatre returned for 21 runs. Suryavanshi scored a half-century before being dismissed, while Vedant Tripathi returned for 15 runs. India lost 4 wickets for 130 runs.

Then Vihan Malhotra and Abhijnan Kundu steadied the innings. This pair forged a decisive partnership of 113 runs. Kundu played an excellent innings of 61 runs with 5 fours and 1 six in 62 balls. Vihan, however, remained at the crease till the end and scored an unbeaten century of 109 runs with 7 fours in 107 balls. In the final phase, Khilan Patel played a quick innings of 30 runs in 12 balls to help India cross the 350-run mark.

For Zimbabwe, Chimugoro took 3 wickets, while Simbarashe Mudzengeire and Panshe Mazhai took 2 wickets each. Dhruv Patel got 1 wicket. Now Zimbabwe faces a huge challenge of 353 runs.
