Aditya Thackeray criticizes BEST fare hike

BEST travel has become expensive and now it is being reported that the pass will also become expensive. Approval has been given to increase the ticket price of BEST buses. It is being reported that the Mumbai Municipal Corporation has approved the decision to increase the ticket price of BEST buses to get the BEST initiative out of financial difficulties. The increased ticket price increase will be implemented immediately. The Mumbai Municipal Corporation has approved the increase in the ticket price of BEST buses and now the minimum ticket price of a regular bus will be ten rupees instead of five rupees. Along with this, the minimum price of an air-conditioned bus will be twelve rupees from six rupees. While the monthly pass will be increased by a whopping 350 rupees.

Against this backdrop, Aditya Thackeray has now reacted. Aditya Thackeray said, 'The BEST bus service, which is the lifeline of the common man in Mumbai, has been deliberately ignored by the ruling party for the last 2-3 years. Now there is news of a doubling of BEST fares. It seems that the ruling party wants the daily life of ordinary Mumbaikars to become difficult.

"We cannot tolerate this decline of BEST, which is known as the cheapest urban bus service in the world and serves millions of Mumbaikars. We are against the doubling of BEST fares! The number of BEST buses has already been reduced, important routes have been closed, if the fares are increased now, it will have an adverse effect on BEST. Our firm demand is, increase the number of electric buses, improve the quality of BEST and provide good service to Mumbaikars! Save BEST!" said Aditya Thackeray.
