After 19 Days, Santosh Ladda Gave The Receipts For The Jewelry To The Police
The robbery, which took place at Ladda’s residence in Bajaj Nagar, involved the theft of 5.5 kg of gold, 32 kg of silver, and ₹70,000 in cash. The gang reportedly searched the house thoroughly, looting valuables from every corner. The incident had caused widespread panic in the locality and triggered a large-scale police operation to track down the culprits.
On Tuesday evening (June 3), Ladda met Police Inspector Sambhaji Pawar and submitted receipts for the stolen jewellery. “The receipts have been received and will be verified soon. This will help us determine the exact value and nature of the stolen goods,” Inspector Pawar confirmed.
Meanwhile, a significant lead has emerged in the case. Amol Khotkar, the main accused who was later killed in a police encounter, is believed to have handed over some of the stolen gold to an acquaintance in Nanded. Acting on this information, two separate police teams have been dispatched—one to Nanded and the other to Ambajogai—to recover the missing gold and trace the distribution network.
The police have also taken into custody Suresh Gangane, who was arrested in Ambajogai in connection with the case. He has been brought along for the investigation. Gangane’s wife, Babita, and father-in-law, Kamble, were also arrested and produced before the court on June 3, following which they were remanded to judicial custody.
This case, marked by its audacity and the scale of the loot, continues to unfold with new revelations. With the recovery of the jewellery receipts and leads pointing to Nanded and Ambajogai, the police are hopeful that more stolen valuables will soon be recovered and additional accused may be apprehended.
