Ahmedabad Plane Crash: 242 Passengers Dead, 3 from Nagpur Family Among Victims
In a devastating development, it has been confirmed that 242 passengers lost their lives in the Air India plane crash that occurred in Ahmedabad. Among the victims were several from Maharashtra, including three members of a single family from Nagpur. The deceased have been identified as Yasha Kamdar, her son Rudra Kamdar, and her mother-in-law Raksha Modha, all residents of Quetta Colony in Nagpur. The family was traveling to London to attend a condolence meeting for Yasha Kamdar’s father-in-law, who had recently passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer.
According to neighbors, “Yasha Kamdar’s father-in-law had been living in London and had come to Ahmedabad for medical treatment. He passed away during his cancer therapy. A condolence meet was organized in London by close acquaintances, and the Kamdar family was on their way to attend it.” Upon hearing about the crash, relatives of the Kamdar family departed for Ahmedabad at around 3 PM to gather more information and offer assistance. Six Victims from Maharashtra It has also been reported that six individuals from Maharashtra died in the crash. Among them, three were passengers and three were cabin crew members. The deceased cabin crew members have been identified as Aparna Mahadik, Maithili Patil, and Roshni Rajendra Songhare, all of whom were on board the ill-fated flight bound for London.
