Ajit Pawar Meets Kaspate Family; Vows Strict Action in Vaishnavi Death Case
Pawar visited both Vaishnavi’s parents and the Kaspate family, whose connection to the case has drawn significant public attention. During the visit, he also spoke to Vaishnavi’s young child, further underscoring the emotional and human impact of the tragedy.
Since the case surfaced, Ajit Pawar has taken a firm stand. He promptly expelled Rajendra Hagavane, Vaishnavi’s father-in-law and a member of his party, in a decisive move that signaled zero tolerance for any involvement in the case. Pawar has since remained actively engaged, pushing for stringent legal action against all accused individuals.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Pawar stated, “I will urge the Chief Minister to ensure this case is heard on a fast track. All relevant departments are working in coordination to build a watertight case so that the accused receive the harshest possible punishment. Neither the government nor our department will show any negligence in this matter.”
He also addressed the emergence of a new suspect, Nilesh Chavan, noting, “There are reports of irregularities related to the handling of Vaishnavi’s child. These have now come on record, and a team has been dispatched to apprehend him.”
Pawar’s remarks and actions have offered a measure of reassurance to the grieving families and have added pressure on law enforcement agencies to ensure swift and uncompromised justice in a case that has shaken the local community.
