The Supreme Court of Belgium has rejected Mehul Choksi's petition against extradition by the Court of Cassation, and India had requested his extradition, currently in Belgium, on August 24, 2024.

After the Supreme Court of Belgium rejected Mehul Choksi's petition, the path for Choksi's extradition is now clear. India had requested Mehul Choksi's extradition, which has been approved by the Antwerp Court of Appeal.

Mehul Choksi had approached the Supreme Court there. Choksi had filed a petition challenging the extradition. Through this petition, he had requested not to be handed over to India. However, the Belgian court has rejected this petition.
