A day after Operation Sindoor, three blasts in Lahore

Pakistan's problems are seen to have increased after the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

A wave of panic swept through Lahore late last night after three consecutive bomb blasts rattled the city, further escalating tensions in the region following India's recent military action under Operation Sindoor.

According to local reports, the explosions occurred in Gopal Nagar and Nasirabad, both located near Walton Airport, a densely populated area of the city. Eyewitnesses reported loud blasts that sent residents fleeing in fear. Following the explosions, Lahore Airport was reportedly shut down as a precautionary measure, though official confirmation is still awaited.

The incident comes shortly after the Indian Army launched air strikes on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The strikes were conducted as part of Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory action carried out 15 days after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed multiple lives.

Indian intelligence sources indicated that the targeted locations were being used to plan imminent terrorist attacks on Indian territory.

Meanwhile, the situation in Pakistan appears to be growing increasingly unstable. The multiple explosions in Lahore have sparked fresh concerns about internal security and the broader implications of rising military tensions with India.

Authorities in Lahore have yet to release an official statement regarding the cause of the explosions or any casualties. Investigations are reportedly underway.

With the region already on high alert following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s aggressive remarks warning India of retaliation, the latest incidents have further intensified an already volatile atmosphere.
