Ravi Rana vs Sanjay Khodke: War of Words Escalates Ahead of Amravati Municipal Elections

In Amravati district, the dispute has escalated again between MLA Ravi Rana and NCP leader MLA Sanjay Khodke in connection with the municipal elections.

The political rivalry between Independent MLA Ravi Rana and NCP leader and MLA Sanjay Khodke has once again come to the fore in Amravati, this time in the backdrop of the upcoming municipal elections. The long-standing enmity between the two leaders has intensified, with both trading sharp accusations in public. Ravi Rana, while addressing supporters, accused Sanjay Khodke of arrogance and claimed that he had personally received 50 phone calls from Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar (Ajit Dada) during the last assembly elections, requesting support for Khodke.

"Had I not listened to Ajit Dada, Sanjay Khodke would have lost by ten thousand votes. He should not behave with such arrogance and domination," Rana said, launching a direct attack on his political rival. In a swift rebuttal, Sanjay Khodke dismissed Ravi Rana’s claims and accused him of spreading falsehoods.

"Ravi Rana does not have the strength to defeat me. Ajit Dada did not make a single call to him. In fact, when Ajit Dada came to Amravati to campaign for Navneet Rana, it was Ravi Rana who requested that I be invited on stage," Khodke said.

Further escalating the tensions, Khodke alleged that Ravi Rana has a history of threatening him, hinting at a pattern of intimidation and political bullying. The clash between the two leaders has added a dramatic twist to the political landscape in Amravati, as the district gears up for crucial municipal elections. With both sides trading barbs and making conflicting claims, political observers expect the rivalry to further intensify in the coming weeks.
