Celebrate 10 Years of Baahubali: Epic Saga to Re-Release in Theatres

Rajamouli revealed that Baahubali – The Epic, a combined presentation of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, will be re-released in theatres on October 31, 2025, to mark the 10-year milestone of the franchise.

In a major announcement that has thrilled cinema enthusiasts, director S.S. Rajamouli revealed that Baahubali – The Epic, a combined presentation of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, will be re-released in theatres on October 31, 2025, to mark the 10-year milestone of the franchise.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Rajamouli wrote: "Baahubali. The beginning of many journeys. Countless memories. Endless inspiration. 10 years have passed. Reaching this special milestone with the combined two-part film #BaahubaliTheEpic. On October 31, 2025, in cinemas worldwide."

The first installment of the franchise, Baahubali: The Beginning, released on July 10, 2015, redefined Indian cinema with its grand scale and storytelling. Directed by Rajamouli and starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia, the film shattered box office records and became a cultural phenomenon.

The news of the film’s re-release was first hinted at by producer Shobu Yarlagadda, who wrote: "I am happy to inform you all that we plan to re-release @BaahubaliMovie both nationally and internationally this October. It’s not just a re-release, but a year-long celebration for our beloved fans! Expect old memories, new revelations, and some epic surprises along the way. Stay tuned! #ReliveTheEpic #BaahubaliReturns."

The sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, was released in 2017 across more than 9,000 screens worldwide. With a production budget of ₹2.5 billion, the film earned over ₹18 billion globally, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of its time and the first Indian film to surpass the ₹10 billion mark.

In addition to its commercial success, the franchise received critical acclaim and numerous accolades. At the 65th National Film Awards, Baahubali 2 won Best Stunt Choreography, Best Special Effects, and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. It also received international recognition, winning the Saturn Award for Best International Film at the 44th Saturn Awards.

With this re-release, fans will once again have the opportunity to experience the grandeur of Mahishmati on the big screen and relive the cinematic magic that took the world by storm.
