Central and Harbour Lines Affected on Sunday; Western Line Block Scheduled for Midnight Tonight

Commuters in Mumbai are advised to plan their travel in advance as major railway blocks are scheduled across the city’s suburban train network this weekend. Mega blocks will affect services on the Central and Harbour lines on Sunday, while the Western Railway will undergo maintenance work starting at midnight tonight.

According to official information released by the railways, the Central and Harbour lines — considered the lifelines of Mumbai — will face scheduled maintenance mega blocks on Sunday, May 25. Both blocks will be in effect from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

During this period, train services between Vashi and Thane on the Harbour line will remain suspended. Passengers are advised to use alternative routes or plan their travel outside of the block hours to avoid inconvenience.

Western Railway Block Tonight

Meanwhile, the Western Railway line will experience a block starting midnight on Saturday, May 24. However, services on the Western line will operate normally on Sunday following the completion of the scheduled maintenance work.

Railway authorities have urged commuters to stay updated via official announcements and mobile applications. Passengers are also advised to allow for additional travel time and check for revised schedules, especially if traveling during peak weekend hours.
