(Railway Employees Diwali Bonus) Before Diwali and Chhath Puja, the central government has given a joyful gift to millions of employees in the railway department. In a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a bonus of 78 days has been approved for railway employees. This decision will make Diwali sweet for railway employees and their families.

According to information received from the government, approximately 10.91 lakh non-gazetted railway employees will benefit from this scheme. A total expenditure of 1,865.68 crore rupees will be incurred for this bonus, and the amount will be directly deposited into the employees' accounts before Diwali. This bonus will benefit track maintainers, loco pilots, station masters, guards, supervisors, technicians, helpers, pointsmen, and other Group 'C' employees.

The central cabinet has also taken some other important decisions, approving a total fund of 94,916 crore rupees. Among these, a decision has been made to provide a fund of 2,192 crore rupees for the Bakhtiyarpur–Rajgir–Tilaiya railway line project.

In the railway department, a productivity-linked bonus (PLB) is given to employees every year before the Durga Puja or Dussehra festival. Continuing this tradition, the government has approved a 78-day bonus this year as well. This decision is significant as an incentive to enhance the performance of the railways. As a result, a large number of employees will receive financial relief before Diwali, and various employee organizations have welcomed this decision.
