Demolition of Mumbai's Elphinstone Bridge Postponed Till Monday

Elphinstone Bridge to be closed for 2 years. The Elphinstone Bridge will be reconstructed for the Worli-Shivdi connector and for this, the bridge will be closed for traffic for two years.

The bridge was to be closed from yesterday (April 25), but now it is being reported that the demolition of the Elphinstone Bridge has been postponed until Monday. A meeting will be held on Monday between local residents and the MMRDA regarding this.

The demolition work will begin after a solution is reached in the meeting on Monday. Therefore, it will be important to see what decision is made in this regard now. The old bridge will be demolished and a double-decker bridge will be constructed in its place through MMRDA. MMRDA has decided to reconstruct this bridge and it is likely to take two years to build the new bridge.
