ED issues summons to Anil Ambani
There is speculation that industrialist Anil Ambani's troubles may increase further. Anil Ambani has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning on August 5, 2025. This summons is related to a money laundering case involving a loan scam of 3,000 crore rupees. The investigation into suspicious loans given through Yes Bank to various companies, their usage, and unauthorized financial transactions is currently underway.
In this context, more than 35 locations across the country related to Reliance Group companies were raided. In this operation, financial documents, computer data, and important information about transactions have been seized.
According to the information received, in this case, some companies were given large loans without any hindrance, which is suspected to have violated regulations. The ED has also recorded during the investigation that these companies later diverted the money elsewhere through various shell companies.
CBI had already registered preliminary information reports (FIR) in this case. Subsequently, the ED initiated its own independent investigation into financial misconduct. The preliminary findings also mention 'financial benefit transactions before loan approval' between former senior officials of Yes Bank and the concerned professionals in some transactions.
