Farmers Urged to Complete e-KYC as 20th PM-KISAN Installment Nears
Lakhs of farmers across the country are eagerly awaiting the 20th installment of ₹2,000 under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana. This central government scheme, aimed at providing direct financial support to eligible farmers, has so far disbursed 19 installments successfully.
Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each, credited directly to their bank accounts at intervals of four months. The 19th installment was released on February 24, 2025, while the 18th installment was distributed in October 2024.
As preparations for the 20th installment are underway, the government has reminded farmers to complete mandatory formalities such as e-KYC, land verification, and Aadhaar-bank account linking. Failure to comply with these requirements may lead to delays or cancellation of the upcoming installment.
How to Complete e-KYC
To complete e-KYC, farmers can visit the official PM-KISAN website: www.pmkisan.gov.in. Here are the steps:
Click on the 'e-KYC' option on the homepage.
Enter your Aadhaar number.
Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Farmers who face issues online can also complete their e-KYC through the PM-KISAN mobile app or by visiting their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).
Important Advisory
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has issued a clear advisory:
“Only those farmers whose records are accurate and up-to-date will receive the benefits on time. Beneficiaries are therefore advised to verify their details and complete all formalities without delay.”
With millions dependent on this vital financial support, completing the required processes is crucial to ensure timely disbursal of the 20th installment.
