The central government has provided a major facility for vehicle owners who frequently travel on national highways. From August 15, 2025, the annual pass facility for FASTag users will begin, eliminating the need to frequently stop at toll plazas. In this scheme, toll-free travel can be done for one year or 200 trips for just 3000 rupees. This pass, which saves time and money, will be a great relief for daily commuters.

This facility will only be applicable to private car, jeep, and van owners, and commercial vehicles will not benefit from it. If incorrect information is provided or misuse occurs, the pass will be immediately canceled. This annual pass can be used across the entire National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE) network. Therefore, travelers making intra-city and long-distance journeys will avoid the hassle of continuous toll plazas.

To obtain the pass, vehicle owners must register on the Highway Yatra mobile app or the official NHAI website. During registration, a fee of 3000 rupees must be paid online. Once verification is complete, the pass will be activated within just two hours. Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari stated that this initiative will make highway travel more convenient and faster, and will also result in significant savings in fuel and time.
