In Nashik A 37-year-old woman has reportedly taken her own life due to alleged harassment by her in-laws
The deceased, Bhakti Atharva Gujarati (37), was found hanging at her residence in a posh locality on Gangapur Road. Her husband, Atharva Yogesh Gujarati (40), and his family have been accused of mental harassment related to dowry demands.
Bhakti’s father, Dilip Prabhakar Madiwale, has lodged a formal complaint at the Gangapur Police Station, holding her in-laws responsible for her death. Based on his complaint, a case has been registered, and police have begun a detailed investigation. Statements from the accused in-laws are currently being recorded.

The case has drawn the attention of BJP leader Chitra Wagh, who has taken cognizance of the incident. Following her intervention, the local police have intensified the investigation and are treating the case with urgency.
