Bagalkot, Karnataka – In a heartwarming gesture that has captured the internet’s attention, the parents of a student who failed the Karnataka SSLC (Class 10) exam celebrated his effort by cutting a cake, choosing encouragement over reprimand.

Abhishek Cholachagadda, a student of Basaveshwar English Medium School in Bagalkot, failed in all six subjects in the recently declared Karnataka SSLC results. But instead of scolding or shaming him, his parents organized a small party to lift his spirits and motivate him to do better in the future.

The celebration video has gone viral on social media, with netizens widely appreciating the compassionate and supportive approach of the parents. Many have praised the act as an example of positive parenting and a lesson in emotional strength.

Abhishek's father, Yallappa Cholachagadda, a professional photographer, explained the intention behind the event. “After the results were announced, we organized a cake-cutting ceremony to console and encourage our son. We wanted to show him that failure is not the end—it’s just a stepping stone.”

Interestingly, the cake had the number "32" designed on it, symbolizing Abhishek’s 32 percent score in the exam. His family shared the cake and words of hope, urging him to look forward and work harder.

Moved by his family’s support, Abhishek said, “Even though I failed, my family stood by me. I will retake the exam, pass it, and find success in life.” The story has resonated deeply with many across the country, sparking conversations around student mental health, exam pressure, and the role of parental support.
