India-Pakistan War : Washim Soldier Heads to Border Two Days After Wedding

In a poignant display of unwavering patriotism, Krishna Raju Ambhore, a young soldier from Jaulka Railway village in Washim district, left for military duty just two days after his wedding, responding promptly to the nation’s call amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.

“Country First, Everything Else Later”

The emotional departure took place at Washim railway station at 2:30 PM, where villagers gathered to bid farewell to their brave son with chants of "Jai Jawan" and "Vande Mataram". The atmosphere was charged with national pride as Krishna, dressed in his uniform, left to report for duty in Uttarakhand, a critical location given the current security situation.

Though his newlywed wife fought back tears, Krishna's resolve was unshaken. With duty on his mind and the tricolor in his heart, he set out to serve the nation, embodying the spirit of selflessness that defines the Indian Armed Forces.

A Role Model for the Region

Krishna's action has become a source of inspiration for the entire Washim district. Villagers, from elders to young children, praised his commitment to the nation over personal joy.

"Krishna has shown us what true patriotism looks like. At a time when many hesitate to step out of comfort, he chose the country over celebration," said a local teacher who was present during the send-off.

A Soldier’s Oath in Action

In times of war or crisis, stories like Krishna Raju Ambhore’s remind the nation of the unseen sacrifices made by countless soldiers and their families. With escalating military activity and uncertainty at the borders, every soldier reporting for duty becomes a critical pillar in the country’s defence structure.
