India's Brave Message to the World: MP Shrikant Shinde on Operation Sindoor
Speaking at Shiv Sena’s 59th anniversary rally held at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Member of Parliament Dr. Shrikant Shinde described Operation Sindoor as a historic moment that allowed India to send a strong message of courage and resilience to the global stage.
Following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Indian government launched Operation Sindoor, during which the Indian Army reportedly destroyed multiple terrorist camps across the border in Pakistan. As part of the government's diplomatic effort to highlight India’s decisive action and military prowess, Prime Minister Narendra Modi selected a group of parliamentarians to represent the nation’s narrative internationally. Among them were MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde and MP Milind Deora.
During the anniversary event, veteran journalist Uday Nirgudkar conducted a special interview with Shinde and Deora, focusing on their experience representing India in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor.
“After Operation Sindoor, we got a great opportunity to convey India’s message to the world — a message of bravery, resolve, and unity in the face of terror,” said Dr. Shrikant Shinde. “Being chosen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this responsibility was an honour, not just for me personally but for every Shiv Sainik who believes in the idea of a strong India.”
He added that the mission underscored India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and sent a clear message globally about the nation’s defensive strength and moral clarity.
The occasion coincided with Shiv Sena’s dual anniversary celebrations, highlighting the ongoing split within the party. While the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray-led faction held its rally at Shri Shanmukhanand Hall in King’s Circle, the Shinde-led faction — supported by state Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde — hosted its event at NSCI Dome. Several key leaders including Deepak Kesarkar, Sanjay Shirsat, Uday Samant, Ravindra Waikar, Gajanan Kirtikar, Neelam Gorhe, Prakash Abitkar, Gulabrao Patil, and Dada Bhuse were present.
MP Milind Deora also praised the government’s approach to global engagement post-Operation Sindoor and emphasized the importance of building international consensus on combating terrorism.
As Shiv Sena celebrated its legacy, the conversation around Operation Sindoor added a powerful nationalistic note to the event, positioning the Shinde-led faction as aligned with the Centre’s assertive approach to national security.
