Kedarnath Helicopter Crash: 7 Killed in Tragic Incident, Including Three from Maharashtra
A tragic helicopter crash in Kedarnath Dham on Sunday morning has claimed the lives of seven people, including three from Maharashtra. The incident occurred near Trijugi Narayan in the Gaurikund area of Uttarakhand. The ill-fated helicopter, operated by Aryan Aviation, was en route from Kedarnath Dham to Phata when it crashed due to bad weather conditions.
Initial reports indicate that all passengers on board have died. NDRF and SDRF teams rushed to the scene and rescue operations are currently underway.
Jaiswal Family from Maharashtra Among Victims
Among the deceased were three members of the Jaiswal family from Yavatmal, Maharashtra. The victims have been identified as Rajkumar Jaiswal, his wife Shraddha Jaiswal, and their two-year-old daughter Kashi Jaiswal. The family had traveled to Kedarnath the previous night for darshan. The news of their tragic demise has plunged the Yavatmal community into mourning.
Investigation Underway
Authorities have launched an investigation into the crash, with initial findings pointing to poor visibility and inclement weather as possible causes. Aviation safety measures in the region are also under review, given the increasing number of pilgrims and chopper services to the holy shrine.
The loss of lives has cast a shadow over the Kedarnath Yatra, and condolences are pouring in from across the country.
