Pune Bibtya: Leopard Roaming in Pune Airport Area Finally Captured

(Pune Bibtya) In many places in the state, the presence of leopards in human settlements is increasing. There has also been an increase in leopard attacks. Now, the leopard roaming in the Pune airport area has finally been captured. Continuous monitoring was done through camera traps, live cameras, and cages.
On December 11, a joint team of about 30 members planned a mission to lead the leopard into a tunnel approximately 80 feet long. Additional live cameras were installed and camera traps were repositioned to better understand its movements inside the tunnel. Due to airport security regulations, it was necessary to create a controlled environment to capture it.
It was led into a tunnel 80 feet long, where the leopard was safely tranquilized and captured. The joint team of Pune Forest Department, RESQ Charitable Trust, Indian Air Force, and Pune Airport Authority finally succeeded in capturing the leopard.
