On the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (ST) made special preparations this year for the convenience of the Warkaris. For the journey of these devotees heading towards Pandharpur from across the state, a total of 5,200 additional ST buses were made available. Due to this service, there has been a significant increase in the corporation's revenue, with 971,683 devotees traveling by ST. During this entire period, the ST Corporation made 21,499 trips. From these services, the corporation earned a revenue of 358.7 million rupees. This information was provided by Transport Minister and ST Corporation Chairman Pratap Sarnaik.

According to Minister Sarnayak, special bus services were operated from major cities like Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Nagpur, Sambhajinagar, and other regions in the state from July 3 to 10. This made it easier for devotees from rural areas to reach Pandharpur for Vitthal darshan.

Importantly, this year's revenue is 6.96 crore more compared to last year. The total revenue from the Ashadhi Yatra in 2024 was 28.91 crore rupees.

Minister Sarnayak said, “The ST Corporation is committed to serving the devotees. We were striving at all levels to ensure the devotees' journey was comfortable, safe, and timely. This year's service is the success of those efforts.” The revenue generated from serving the pilgrims has been encouraging for the ST Corporation, and they indicated that similar special services will continue in the future.
