(Chhattisgarh) In the Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh, security forces conducted a major operation and eliminated 10 Naxalites. It has been confirmed that senior Naxalite leader Manoj alias Modem Balkrishna, who had a reward of 1 crore rupees announced, was killed. This action is considered a major success for the security agencies.

Based on confidential information, an operation was initiated in this area on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, in an encounter between the security forces and the Naxalites, 10 Naxalites, including Balkrishna, were killed. During the operation, the forces surrounded the Naxalites from all sides and after a few hours of conflict, they were eliminated.

State police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Cobra Battalion teams participated in this mission. Balkrishna was a senior member of the Odisha State Committee and had several serious crimes registered against him, including murder, robbery, and attacks on police. Gariaband district has long been under the influence of Naxalites, and security forces have previously conducted many successful operations here.
