Ganeshotsav Travel Made Easy: ST Corporation's 5000 Extra Buses for Konkan Residents

ST Corporation has decided to run 5000 extra buses from August 23 to September 7 this year for Konkani workers in Mumbai. This information was given by Transport Minister and ST Corporation Chairman Pratap Sarnaik. As a result, an atmosphere of excitement has been created among the Konkan residents in Mumbai.

Millions of workers from Konkan live in Mumbai and its suburbs. To ensure they can travel to Konkan for their rightful Ganpati festival and that their journey is safe and pleasant, the ST Corporation has taken a significant step. This year, Ganpati Bappa's arrival will be earlier compared to last year. The public Ganesh festival will begin on August 27, and on this occasion, the ST Corporation has made a major announcement. The ST Corporation has decided to run 5000 additional buses from August 23 to September 7 this year. This information was provided by Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik.

Recently, a meeting regarding this was held at the ministry by the ST Corporation. During this meeting, the corporation's Vice President and Managing Director Dr. Madhav Kusekar and all department heads of ST were present. At this time, Pratap Sarnaik expressed his opinion. He said, "The Konkan's workers' Ganpati festival and ST have an unbreakable bond. Therefore, as every year, without considering profit and loss, we will also release 5000 extra buses for the Konkan residents this year."

Group reservation options are also provided in these extra buses. Importantly, Amrit senior citizens will receive a 100% discount on ticket prices, while senior citizens and women will receive a 50% discount on ticket prices. Group reservations will start from July 22. From August 23, these extra buses will be dispatched from major bus stations in Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar. Reservations for buses can be made on the official ST website npublic.msrtcors.com. Additionally, reservations can also be made directly from bus stations or through the MSRTC Bus Reservation app. For the convenience of passengers, vehicle repair teams will also be deployed at various locations on the highways in Konkan.
