Nagpur–Bilaspur Train to Run with 16 Coaches Amid Growing Passenger Demand

The Bilaspur–Nagpur–Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express, which was launched two years ago from Nagpur, is now set to operate with 16 coaches, up from its current 8, following an overwhelming response from passengers. Initially, the Vande Bharat Express had 16 coaches when it first commenced service. However, due to low ridership at the time, the number of coaches was reduced to 8. In recent months, with a significant increase in passenger traffic, the railway authorities have decided to restore the train to its original 16-coach configuration.

According to officials, the upgraded 16-coach Vande Bharat Express will offer improved seating capacity and better facilities, making travel more convenient for passengers commuting between Nagpur and Bilaspur. The train features fully air-conditioned chair car coaches designed for comfort and speed.

Covering a distance of approximately 413 km in about five and a half hours, the Vande Bharat Express has gained popularity not only for its comfortable seating and modern amenities but also for its speed and punctuality. As a result, the train has become a preferred choice for travelers on this route.

“This decision has been taken to accommodate the increasing number of passengers and to enhance the overall travel experience,” the railway administration said in a statement. The new configuration is expected to significantly ease the booking rush and improve passenger satisfaction.

The Bilaspur–Nagpur Vande Bharat Express continues to run regularly, and the addition of more coaches is set to make the journey even more efficient and pleasant for travelers.
