Due to the lack of permission to keep unregistered vehicles, the state government has decided to close nearly 90 percent of Ola Electric's 450 showrooms in Maharashtra according to the RTO's orders. As a result, nearly 405 out of 450 Ola showrooms are on the verge of closure. Therefore, the existence of Ola Company in Maharashtra is currently at risk.

Almost 90 percent of Ola company's stores (showrooms) in the state are preparing to close. When the Maharashtra RTO (Regional Transport Office) inspected these showrooms, it was found that many showrooms were operating without a trade certificate. Therefore, the RTO has instructed that these showrooms be closed immediately as they are operating without a trade certificate. Last month, the RTO took swift action in this regard and raided several Ola stores in Maharashtra. Due to the lack of trade certificates in the stores, the RTO issued a show-cause notice to them. Not only this, but Ola company (Ola Electric) has faced many problems before as well.

Many users on social media have also complained about the defects in Ola electric scooters. Now, due to this order from the RTO, there will be a significant negative impact on Ola's sales in the electric scooter market, leading to a decline in sales. It is mandatory to have a trade certificate to keep and sell unregistered vehicles in showrooms. However, due to the lack of such a trade certificate, Ola company's difficulties have increased. Additionally, the lack of service centers and obstacles in registration have reduced the number of customers. But now, Ola Electric's shares have also fallen by more than 34 percent in 6 months. Due to all these difficulties, the company has suffered a significant loss. Currently, the company's loss has reached 428 crore rupees.

Not only in Maharashtra, but the RTO has taken action on Ola stores across the country, and so far raids have been conducted on 32 stores in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, action has been taken on some stores in Rajasthan as well. Electric vehicles have also been seized in these operations.
