India Pakistan War: Pakistan attempts missile attack on Delhi
Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated dramatically following a series of aggressive moves by Islamabad, including a thwarted missile attack aimed at the Indian capital. In a significant development late Friday night, the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully intercepted a missile launched from across the border, preventing what could have been a catastrophic strike on Delhi.
According to official sources, Pakistan launched a missile identified as ‘Fateh-2’ targeting Delhi. The Indian air defense system, operating at peak alertness, neutralized the missile in mid-air near Sirsa, Haryana. No casualties or damages were reported, thanks to the prompt response of defense personnel.
In retaliation, India carried out a robust counterstrike reportedly targeting three of Pakistan’s key air bases. The operation, details of which remain classified, has sent shockwaves across Pakistan’s military establishment. In response, the Pakistan Army has initiated a defensive operation named ‘Bunyan-ul-Marsoos.’
Meanwhile, drone attacks believed to have originated from Pakistani territory were detected in 26 locations across India on the same night. The IAF, with its enhanced surveillance and rapid-response systems, ensured that all such attempts were rendered ineffective.
Incidents of cross-border firing have also been reported from the sensitive regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab, and parts of Delhi. In light of these developments, a nationwide high alert has been declared. Security has been tightened across the country, and 138 flights at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport have been cancelled as a precautionary measure.
The Indian government and security agencies are maintaining a state of heightened readiness. Citizens have been urged to remain calm, refrain from spreading rumors, and rely only on official sources for verified information.
