PM Modi meeting with Rajnath Singh, Ajit Doval, CDS and chiefs of all the Armed Forces

In light of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the Indian government has taken a major security step by temporarily closing 28 airports across the country until May 15. The decision was taken during a high-level security meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and senior officials from all three branches of the Indian Armed Forces. The primary agenda was to review border security, assess military preparedness, and respond to recent provocations from across the border.

Pakistan’s Drone and Missile Attack Thwarted

On Thursday night, Pakistan launched drone and missile strikes targeting Indian border regions, including military bases and nearby civilian areas. However, the Indian Armed Forces successfully intercepted and neutralized all attempted attacks.

In response, PM Modi chaired the emergency meeting where the closure of key civilian airports was approved to safeguard citizens and allow unrestricted military operations.
