PM Narendra Modi Raised The Slogan Of Made In India During An Event Held In Gandhinagar Gujarat
Speaking at an event in Gandhinagar, the Prime Minister said, “If we want to make our country great on the global stage, if we want to strengthen our economy, then it’s not just the soldiers at the border who must act — every Indian must contribute.” Addressing the nation’s 140 crore citizens, he declared: “The time has come to bring indigenous goods in and foreign goods out.”
Praising Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Modi issued a clarion call to embrace Swadeshi and reject imported products. “Say ‘bye-bye’ to foreign goods and accept Swadeshi,” he said.
Referring to India’s developmental goals for 2047, he stated, “If India is to become the world’s third-largest economy by then, we must stop buying foreign products. Even villagers should resolve not to purchase imported goods, no matter how beneficial they may appear.”
Modi expressed concern over the rising import of culturally significant items. “Everything from Holi colours to Pichkaris is being imported. Even Ganpati idols with half-closed eyes are coming from abroad. This must stop,” he said, urging people to support locally made alternatives.
Highlighting India’s manufacturing capabilities, the Prime Minister said, “Today, a wide range of products are being made in India. We have indigenous alternatives to nearly every foreign item. By using local products, we create employment for our people and strengthen the economy. We should feel proud of the ‘Made in India’ label.”
Reiterating the importance of public participation, Modi said that alongside military strength, people’s power is essential for the success of initiatives like Operation Sindoor.
The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid ongoing efforts to boost local manufacturing and promote self-reliance under the government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign.
