Police Recover 59 Tolas of Gold in Santosh Ladda Robbery Case
According to police officials, the robbery, which took place at Ladda's house in Bajaj Nagar, involved the theft of approximately 5.5 kilograms of gold, 32 kilograms of silver, and ₹70,000 in cash. The robbers had meticulously ransacked the premises, leaving no corner untouched. The sensational nature of the crime sent shockwaves through the local community and prompted swift police action.
As the investigation progressed, police arrested three more individuals on Thursday, including a bullion trader. From these three, officers recovered 19 tolas of gold. The suspects were presented before the court on Friday, which remanded them to police custody until June 9.
Meanwhile, several previously arrested individuals—Balasaheb Imbole, Mahesh Gorade, Ganesh Gorade, Adinath Jadhav, and Devidas Shinde—have now been sent to judicial custody.
Authorities suspect that a portion of the stolen gold may have been transported to either Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, and further inquiries are underway in coordination with regional law enforcement units.
This robbery case has not only highlighted the vulnerability of affluent homes in urban areas but also showcased the swift and determined response of the police in tracing and apprehending the culprits. The investigation continues, with efforts focused on recovering the remaining stolen valuables and identifying any additional individuals involved.
