Raj Thackeray Faces Legal Heat Over Alleged Hate Speech During Marathi Vijay Melava
In the backdrop of Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray coming together to launch a movement on the issue of the Marathi language, "Marathi Victory Day" was recently celebrated in Mumbai. The speeches of both leaders heated the political atmosphere in the state. However, now a new controversy is likely to arise from a statement made by Raj Thackeray.
During the movement, Raj Thackeray is accused of saying in his speech, "Do not record videos while beating," which could disrupt social harmony and create hatred in society. Three lawyers have filed a complaint with the Director General of Police (DGP) in Mumbai and the concerned authorities, alleging this statement. Pankajkumar Mishra, Nityanand Sharma, and Ashish Rai have submitted a complaint written in Marathi, demanding that a case be registered against Raj Thackeray.
The complaint states that Raj Thackeray's statement is inflammatory and hateful. It also claims that this statement disrupts peace in Maharashtra, and demands immediate legal action against him. The concerned lawyers have clearly demanded that a case be filed against Raj Thackeray. This indicates that Maharashtra's politics might once again be stirred. Everyone is now focused on whether a case will be filed against Raj Thackeray or not.
