Raj Thackeray: Government Backs Down on Hindi Language Mandate; Here’s What He Said
The issue of compulsory Hindi language became very popular in Maharashtra. A GR was passed to teach Hindi language in schools from the first grade. In protest against this, Uddhav Thackeray and MNS President Raj Thackeray had announced that they would come together and hold a march against compulsory Hindi language. However, today the GR against compulsory Hindi language was canceled. Accordingly, now the joint march of Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray has been canceled. For this, MNS President Raj Thackeray has thanked the public and journalists.
Later, Raj Thackeray said, "After the Fadnavis government canceled both the Hindi mandatory GRs, MNS President Raj Thackeray made an important statement. Raj Thackeray clearly stated that there should be no compromise on the Marathi language, the government should not make such a mistake again." Raj Thackeray has also said that a victory rally will be held on the 5th. However, the venue of the rally has not been decided yet.
