In Raja Shivaji, Riteish Deshmukh not only takes on the titular role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj but also dons the director’s hat for what promises to be a cinematic tribute to one of India's most iconic historical figures. The film is set to release in six languages—Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam—highlighting its pan-India appeal.

The film boasts a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amol Gupte, and Genelia Deshmukh, who also serves as co-producer alongside Jyoti Deshpande. The project is being jointly produced by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company.

Adding to the film’s grandeur, the music has been composed by acclaimed duo Ajay–Atul, known for their powerful and culturally resonant soundtracks.
