Sanjay Raut slams Modi Government Over Pahalgam Attack in rajya sabha

A tense political atmosphere has been created in Parliament after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

After the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, a tense political atmosphere has developed in Parliament. Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut directly targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding his resignation.

"There has been a grave mistake in the country's security. The Prime Minister should accept responsibility for these mistakes and resign," Raut made this direct demand while attending the Rajya Sabha. This statement caused a brief commotion in the house.

Raut said, "26 people were killed in the Pahalgam attack. If the Prime Minister says that he recognizes time ahead of time, then why didn't he recognize that these terrorists were going to come to Pahalgam? This is not a failure of the security agencies but a failure of the government," he criticized.

He further said, "The Prime Minister considers himself an incarnation of God, and his followers also perceive him as such. They say it is God's grace, hence they know things ahead of time. Then why was there no forewarning of this attack?" He posed a bitter question, also raising doubts about the efficiency of the government's intelligence agencies.

'It is due to Pandit Nehru's grace that you are in power'

Addressing Prime Minister Modi, Raut said, "The chair you are sitting in today is due to Pandit Nehru's democratic ideology. Because of his constitutional perspective, you are in politics today. It is due to the democratic foundation laid by Nehru that you are the Prime Minister, hence you should be grateful to him."

Sanjay Raut also raised questions about the ceasefire with Pakistan. He said, "Pakistan was pleading for a ceasefire with folded hands before us. The government accepted the ceasefire, but what exactly did India gain from it? In such circumstances, should Pakistan be trusted?"

Sanjay Raut's statement has caused a stir in political circles. The opposition has shown readiness to corner the government on this issue.
