Shivrajyabhishek Ceremony 2025 : Floral Decorations at Meghdambari
Ahead of the ceremony, traditional martial art performances were held at the Holi Maidan, showcasing the valor and culture of Shivaji Maharaj’s era. Local akhadas captivated the audience with vibrant displays of Lezhim and other indigenous games.
Joint Organization and Community Participation
The event is jointly organized by the Shivrajyabhishek Dinotsav Seva Samiti Durgraj Raigad and Konkan Kada Mitramandal. The celebration, held on Jyeshtha Shuddha Trayodashi, is being conducted in a traditional manner, as it is every year. Authorities have taken special care to ensure a smooth experience for the thousands of Shiva devotees visiting the fort.
Dignitaries and Program Highlights
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is attending the ceremony as chief guest, while Employment Guarantee Scheme Minister Bharat Gogavale is presiding over the event as the Welcome President. Minister Gogavale visited Raigad Fort on Sunday to review preparations and facilities for the attendees.
Logistics such as food grains and puja materials were transported to the fort in advance, with formal programs commencing on Sunday, June 8, through the worship of Shirkai Devi, the fort deity.
Schedule of the Day
6:30 AM – Flag worship at the Zilla Parishad rest house
7:00 AM – Departure of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's palanquin
8:00 AM – Grand flag-hoisting ceremony at Nagarkhana
9:00 AM – Main Shivrajyabhishek ceremony in the presence of chief guests
The ritual duties are being conducted by the Shri Panchakshar Maheshwar (Jangam) Priestly Mandal
10:00 AM – Start of the royal procession
12:30 PM – Mahaprasad for all attendees, followed by a collective fort cleaning activity by devotees
