There is comforting news for the citizens of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The administration has announced that Siddharth Garden under the municipal corporation's jurisdiction will be reopened to the public from today (July 29). The garden and zoo had been closed for the past one and a half months due to security reasons.

On approximately June 11, due to a storm, the dome and wall at the entrance of the garden collapsed, resulting in the unfortunate death of two women. Following this incident, the issue of security in the garden was brought to the forefront. The administration immediately decided to close the garden to the public.

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation had ordered the immediate removal of the dangerous dome during the development period. However, due to lack of response from the developer, the municipal corporation finally removed the dangerous dome and entrance at its own expense. Only then was the decision made to reopen the park.

Due to the park being closed, the municipal corporation had to bear a loss of 3.5 million rupees every month. Therefore, to stop this loss and end the citizens' wait for the park, the administration has taken these steps.

For safety reasons, 22 shops in the front area of the park will remain closed. Citizens are also urged by the municipal corporation to follow safety instructions when entering the park.

There is a sense of satisfaction in the city as Siddharth Park, a favorite spot for animal lovers, fitness enthusiasts, and families, is reopening.
