Sunjay Kapur's Mother Seeks AGM Delay Amid Allegations of Legacy Seizure

Late industrialist Sanjay Kapoor's mother, Rani Kapoor, has written to the Sona Comstar board requesting the postponement of the annual general meeting scheduled for July 25. In this, she has accused an attempt to forcibly seize the family legacy by misusing documents after her son's death. Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor's former husband and renowned industrialist Sanjay Kapoor passed away in England on June 12. He suffered a heart attack while playing polo.

Sanjay and Karisma were married in 2003. The couple has two children, daughter Samaira and son Kiaan. However, differences began between them a few years after the marriage. In 2014, both went to court for divorce. Their divorce was controversial. It was finalized by the court in 2016. After the divorce, Sanjay paid Karisma monthly for the children's care and also gave a large sum as alimony. Shortly after the divorce, in 2017, he married Priya Sachdev. This was Priya's second marriage. After the marriage, they had a son, whom they named Azarius Kapoor. Priya also has a daughter from her first marriage.
