Supreme Court Rejects Ban, 'Udaipur Files' to Release
'Udaipur Files', a Hindi film based on the true incident of the Kanhaiyalal Sahu murder case in Udaipur, Rajasthan, is set to release tomorrow, July 11. Actor Vijay Raaz has played a central role in this film produced by Amit Jani. However, a petition to ban the release of this film was filed in the Supreme Court, which has been dismissed by the court.
The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition demanding a ban on the upcoming film 'Udaipur Files'. The petition was filed by accused Mohammad Javed against the film based on the Kanhaiyalal murder case that occurred in Udaipur. It was stated that if the film is released while the case is still sub judice, it could affect impartial justice. However, after hearing the arguments, the court advised, "You should present this case in the relevant lower court," and refused to hold an urgent hearing. The court clearly stated, "Let the film be released."
Now, due to this decision, the film 'Udaipur Files' will be released tomorrow in all theaters across the country, including Mumbai. The release of this film, based on a sensitive subject like the Kanhaiyalal murder case, is likely to once again spark political and social discussions.
