The much-discussed famous electric car company of Elon Musk is opening its first Tesla showroom in Mumbai. Now, Mumbaikars will also be able to catch a glimpse of this car. Tesla's entry into India will add to the joy of car enthusiasts.

Tesla's first showroom will be opened at the Jio World Drive Mall in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, for which the company has rented 4000 square feet of space. The company will pay more than 3.5 million rupees per month in rent for this. The showroom will be inaugurated on July 15. It is still unclear whether Elon Musk will launch the luxurious Tesla car for Indians or bring a new affordable car to the market for the general public.

In the backdrop of last month's meeting between Elon Musk and India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many hoped that Tesla would come to India. Accordingly, now Mumbai residents will get a glimpse of Tesla. After opening a showroom in BKC, the company has provided job opportunities in India, creating new employment. Tesla will not set up a production unit in India currently. Cars produced at the Giga Factory in Berlin-Brandenburg, Germany, will be brought to India for now.

Elon Musk himself has been trying to launch Tesla in India since 2022. However, the import duties imposed on electric vehicles in India delayed Tesla's entry. Finally, the car has entered India in 2025. This showroom in Mumbai will serve as an experience center for customers, allowing them to see Tesla cars up close. They will also be able to take test drives of these cars. Information about Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, and the future Cybertruck will be available here, and customers will also be able to experience Tesla's solar panels, Powerwall, and solar roof products.
