Thackeray Activists Intensify Pressure on Shinde MLA Over Unkept Promises
Published on

The political rivalry between the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) faction and the Shinde-led Shiv Sena intensified on Thursday, as the Thackeray group adopted a visibly aggressive stance. Tensions escalated when activists of the Thackeray faction confronted Shinde Sena MLA Pradeep Jaiswal at his residence, questioning him about unfulfilled promises and demanding accountability.

According to eyewitnesses, the activists entered Jaiswal’s home and questioned, “What happened to your dispute?” and “Have you fulfilled the promises made to the people?” The confrontation has added to the already heated political environment in the city.

On the same day, senior Thackeray group leader Ambadas Danve visited the BJP city office and issued a sharp statement. He accused the ruling parties of forgetting their commitments after coming to power. “All promises made post-election have been forgotten. We are here to remind them,” said Danve, indicating the party’s intent to expose what they call the ruling alliance's governance failures.

The twin actions — besieging the Shinde faction MLA and submitting a protest note to the BJP — signal the Thackeray faction's renewed pressure tactics in the region.

These developments come at a time when the political temperature is rising in the lead-up to upcoming elections. The Thackeray group’s aggressive campaign is seen as an effort to re-energize their support base while placing the ruling parties on the defensive.

Political observers suggest that this shift in strategy could create fresh challenges for the Shinde faction and its allies, especially in key constituencies like Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
