An email threatening a RDX attack on the Golden Temple has caused a stir. It is said that this threat was made by an unknown person. Following this incident, security arrangements around the temple area have been further tightened.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has implemented additional security measures at the Golden Temple, its perimeter, the Langar Hall, and the Sarai area. The task force has been given special instructions for monitoring, and immediate action has been directed if any suspicious person or activity is observed. SGPC's Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Manan has provided information regarding this matter.

Information about this threat has been given to the local police station and the Amritsar Police Commissioner. SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami stated that preliminary investigation suggests this email was deliberately sent to spread fear.

Against this backdrop, the police and security agencies have become alert, and CCTV surveillance in the temple area has been increased. Thorough checks of devotees and tourists are underway. Citizens are urged to maintain peace and immediately report any suspicious activity.
