Torrential rain continues in Uttarakhand, submerging many homes and roads. Landslides have disrupted communication in several areas. Shockingly, around 50 tourists from Maharashtra are reported missing.

Among the missing are 23 tourists from the Ambegaon area of Pune. Additionally, 19 citizens from Jalgaon district and 10 citizens from Nanded district are also missing. The rescue teams face a significant challenge in locating these citizens.

A large number of tourists from Ambegaon and Avasari areas had gone to Uttarakhand. Due to the rising water levels from the rain, these tourists took shelter in some places. As a result, their mobile phones have turned off, creating obstacles in communication. It is reported that these tourists had earlier sent photos and messages via mobile to inform their relatives that they were safe.

Contact has not yet been established with 13 citizens from Dharangaon taluka in Jalgaon district. Additionally, two individuals from Pachora taluka are also missing. Considering the entire situation, it is being expressed that many of the missing citizens are likely to be safe.

The Uttarakhand administration, local police, disaster management team, and rescue teams from the Maharashtra government are conducting search operations at a war footing. The administration has appealed to citizens to focus only on official information and not to believe in rumors.
