(Darjeeling) An incident has occurred where 6 people died as a bridge collapsed in Darjeeling, West Bengal. Currently, heavy rain is falling in West Bengal, causing landslides. In this, the Dudhia Iron Bridge in the Mirik area collapsed.
After this incident, chaos was observed in the area. Due to heavy rain, daily life has been disrupted. Waterlogging in many areas has created a flood-like situation. The continuous heavy rain in the hilly areas of West Bengal has caused significant damage.
In many places, rescue teams are facing difficulties due to the flood, and as soon as the information about this incident was received, the local administration along with the rescue team reached the site, and relief work is underway, with efforts to remove debris and restore roads.
This bridge connects the Mirik and surrounding Siliguri Kurseong areas. In this natural disaster, six people have lost their lives so far. The police are also monitoring the situation and have urged local residents to remain alert.
