Youth Abducted And Brutally Assaulted By group Of 20 In Parli, Seven Arrested

Even as the brutal murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh remains fresh in public memory, another violent incident has rocked Beed district. A video of a youth being brutally beaten by a mob has gone viral, triggering widespread outrage and renewed concerns over rising crime in the region.

The latest incident took place in the Jalalpur area of Beed, where a group of 10 to 12 youths viciously assaulted a young man named Shivraj Divate with sticks and rods. According to Divate, the attackers made a chilling reference to the earlier killing of Santosh Deshmukh during the assault.

Your Santosh Deshmukh is doing Part 2… I won’t let him go, I will kill him,” one of the assailants reportedly said, as recounted by the injured Divate while speaking to the media.

Divate narrowly escaped death, thanks to the intervention of bystanders. The police have since arrested seven individuals in connection with the attack, and further investigation is underway.

The incident has reignited concerns over the law and order situation in Beed, with citizens questioning whether the district is fast becoming a hotbed of violent crime. The frequency and brutality of such attacks have raised alarm among residents and public figures alike.

Prominent political leaders and social activists have visited Shivraj Divate at the hospital to express their support. Those who visited include Bajrang Sonawane, Suresh Dhas, Dhananjay Munde, and Maratha community leader Manoj Jarange Patil. Former minister Suresh Dhas stated,

“We stand firmly behind Shivraj Divate and demand strict action against the perpetrators.”

Social activist Trupti Desai also reacted strongly to the incident, emphasizing the urgent need to curb rising criminal tendencies in the district.

As the police continue their investigation, public pressure is mounting on authorities to restore peace and ensure that Beed does not descend further into lawlessness.
