Wardha Protest: AITUC affiliated school nutrition meal workers' march
As a solution to the pending demands of 1 lakh 72 thousand cooks and helpers working under the Prime Minister's Nutrition Power Scheme has not been found, an indefinite sit-in grand march will be organized by AITUC on December 10 at the Nagpur winter session. There is a demand for immediate implementation of honorarium increase, minimum wages, and social security schemes.
The march will focus on major demands such as a minimum salary of 26 thousand, social security, 12 months' honorarium, and Diwali bonus, alleging that the announcement of an honorarium increase for employees working for many years on a meager honorarium of 2500 rupees has not yet been implemented, according to AITUC's state vice president Dilip Utane.
